Lisa Lin can understand why home cooks might be interested in Recipeasly. The website allows users to collect their favorite recipes from around the Internet in one convenient location, sort of like an online recipe box.
But as the founder of Healthy Nibbles, a seven-year-old website featuring hundreds of recipes, Lin doesn t like how Recipeasly has marketed itself or how it developed a product without any apparent buy-in from the food bloggers and recipe developers who could be most affected by it.

On Friday, as a Food and Drug Administration expert panel recommended approving the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine, the Archdiocese of New Orleans offered a differing opinion. Taking the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the Archdiocese said, would be immoral. The archdiocese must instruct Catholics that the latest vaccine from Janssen/Johnson & Johnson is morally compromised as it uses the abortion-derived cell line in development and production of the vaccine as well as the testing, the Archdiocese of New Orleans said in a statement on Friday.

As part of an effective customer due diligence process and to implement Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, banks in Qatar are urging customers to keep their recorded documents such as passports and QIDs updated in their systems. Customers who intentionally ignore routine reminders from banks, and neglect to update their expired passports on record, may have their bank accounts blocked. However, customers with valid concerns related to their passport renewals may receive a more considerate approach, an official has said.
With COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, a number of embassies in Qatar have shifted to online appointments for the passport renewals of their citizens, some of which are facing long waiting lists. The Philippine Embassy in Doha currently has its online appointments fully booked until July.
